Linear Inequalities

Solving a linear inequality works just like an equation — except that multiplying or dividing by a negative flips the inequality symbol, and the solution is a range you graph on a number line. A strict symbol (< or >) gives an open endpoint; ≤ or ≥ gives a closed one. These are real, released Regents questions — solve, then pick the graph that matches.
